The Path to the Johannes Kepler Obervatory

Path description to Steinberg Observatory (from Graz)

The Observatory is located in training center Steinberg, about 11 kilometer outside of Graz.

Coming from the main railway station ("Hauptbahnhof") you can follow tramway line no.7 in west direction: turn into the "Eggenberger Allee"and follow the tramway tracks until end station in Wetzelsdorf, whereas on the crossing "Eggenberger Allee" / "Alte Poststraße" you stay straight ahead in the "Eggenberger Allee".
Afterwards you turn to the right into the "Wetzelsdorfer Straße", which merges into the "Steinbergstraße".
After approximately 10 kilometers you reach the branch "Rohrbach/Steinberg", immediately after the road sign "Steinberg" (on the crest) you have to go slantly right into the training center Steinberg (Anton Afritsch Kinderdorf).
After a 90 degree right turn the small street passes a transformer building, afterwards you can park your vehicle
You reach the Observatory (only) by foot via the approximately 100m long forest track (good footwear recommended).
